Silver salmon fishing on the Kenai or Kasilof Rivers offer fisherman the most economical Alaska fishing vacation available. Silver salmon season starts August 1st and end September 30th with the peak of the run being August 10th throught the 31st. |

On even years pink salmon are also available and are by far the easiest to catch. It's not uncommon for a family of four to catch and release over 100 pink salmon a day. |
